The aim of this course is to make students proficient in capturing, creating and manipulating digital files. The class focuses on learning skills and techniques using industry standard software, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, creating work that is not only digital art but reflects traditional graphic design and advertising standards. Later in the year students will transition their knowledge into creating New Media and Net artwork. The students will work as individuals and collaboratively throughout the course. As their final, students will work to create a web based portfolio for review at the completion of the year.
